Free vegetable and flower share

1 to 3 p.m., EVPL Stringtown, 2100 Stringtown Road. Free.

Share extra vegetables, flowers, and recipes with the community, or pick up some goodies from a neighbor at this free community event. Registration is required only for those bringing items to share.

Burdette Park storytime

3 p.m., Burdette Park, 5301 Nurrenbern Road. Free.

EVPL and Burdette Park are hosting a series of weekly storytimes for children ages 5 and under at Anchor Playground near the park's main entrance. This event will feature stories, songs, and crafts.

Millie's Rockets

11 a.m. to Noon, cMoe-Family Children's Museum of Evansville, 22 SE Fifth St.Free with museum admission.

Partnering with Purdue University, this interactive class allows young children and kids in grades 3 to 6 to connect with creativity and rockets.

Food Truck Fridays

11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., cMoe-Family Children's Museum of Evansville, 22 SE Fifth St.

Every Friday throughout the summer, cMoe is hosting food trucks on their Fifth Street Beach. This week will feature Summ Thing Different LLC and Alien Ice.

Shriners Fest

Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Riverside Drive in Evansville. Free admission but car show is $20, Jeep show is $20-$25, cornhole tournament is $30 per team, and Rumble on the River tickets range from $5 to $10.

This two-day festival features food trucks, a beer garden, live music/performances, a car and Jeep show, a cornhole tournament, inflatables for kids, and a half-pot raffle. For more information about the half-pot, visit hadihalfpot.com.

Concerts on the Lawn

6 p.m., EVPL Oaklyn, 3001 Oaklyn Drive. Free.

Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks to enjoy a performance by the Honey Vines.

'Looking Over the President's Shoulder'

Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m., Princeton Theatre and Community Center, 301 W. Broadway St., Princeton, Indiana. Tickets are $25.

This one-man show is based on Gibson County and Lyles Station native Alonzo Fields who served 21 years in the White House as chief butler under Herbert Hoover, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Harry Truman and Dwight Eisenhower. It follows his encounters with visitors, comments on presidents' wives, and the everyday life of each president to his life growing up in Lyles station.

Kitty Yoga

8 a.m., River Kitty City Cafe, 226 Main St. Tickets are $20.

Evansville Farmers Market

9 a.m. to 2 p.m., 815 John St. Free.

Shop from local vendors and food trucks while joining the fun of this weekly market.

Franklin Street Bazaar

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. along West Franklin Street. Free.

This weekly market is on the lawn of the EVPL West Branch Library with hundreds of vendors from local farmers and producers to bakers to artists and craftsmen having pop-up shops for visitors to check out local products.

Journey to Health Super Saturday

11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Evansville Museum of Arts, History, and Science, 411 SE Riverside Drive. Free.

Ascension St. Vincent sponsors this health-inspired day with free museum admission, teddy bear check-ups, hands-on CPR training, free items such as toothbrushes, helmets, ice packs, first aid, and much more. Shows at the Koch Immersive Theater & Planetarium are free as well.

Bubblefest

11 a.m. to 1 p.m., EVPL Central, 200 SE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Free

Bubblefest is for children ages 11 and under, and allows them to be as messy as they want while celebrating summer learning with bubbles.

'Taylorville - A tribute to Taylor Swift'

1 to 3 p.m., Old National Events Plaza, 715 Locust St. Tickets are $24 to $49.

This Taylor Swift tribute band will bring a journey through Taylor's career with video wall production to add visual displays that complement each song perfectly.
